Social Impact
Proudly enriching communities with social impact
Community Engagement
We make a tangible difference to the quality of life for our residents, improve individual and community well-being, which drives our social impact at every stage.
Working exclusively with registered providers, we seek out underserved and hard to reach residents – maximising inclusion opportunities, engaging all residents in a wide range of community projects.
Social Impact Focus
We make a tangible difference to the quality of life for our residents, improving individual and community well-being, driving our social impact at every stage
- We’re a facilities management provider with a social mission – working exclusively with registered providers, we constantly strive for better places and better lives
- Community engagement is central to our approach – we offer employment, education and training opportunities to people in underrepresented groups
- Our social mission is shared throughout our organisation – for example, our staff volunteer their time to improve living spaces for our residents
Community Volunteering
Our initiatives include programmes for employment and training, youth development, digital inclusion, elderly and vulnerable and health and wellbeing. Our staff donate 4 hours each year to volunteering to support residents – whether that be pro-bono / in-kind support such as clearing a resident’s garden or hosting a CV writing workshop to help residents write their CV.
We believe that opportunities for all is the key to success when delivering social impact and when partnering with Clients, we work towards a common goal. Better Places, Better Lives, opportunities for all.
We use our volunteer hours to support:
Health and Wellbeing
Volunteering hours are given to support some of the most venerable members of the community, who have found themselves in a situation that has led to possible eviction and homelessness. This support enables many of our residents to stay in their properties, and includes clearance work, Bio hazard intervention, garden clearances and ongoing support.
The Community
Our staff use their volunteer hours to improve resident community spaces. This includes community gardening days and the improvements of communal areas including play areas, vegetable plots and meeting spaces for residents.
The Elderly
This includes projects to improve isolation and loneliness, in house projects including gardening, decorating, fire damage support and IT support and social events in local sheltered accommodation and community centres.
Youth
This includes improving school and community play areas, visits to community centres and promoting youth employment and training – e.g. volunteering time to attend CV writing workshops.
Resident Employment
We monitor our recruitment process to ensure we are reaching all groups. We partner with local Job Centres to provide training, job opportunities and apprenticeships to local people and we hold recruitment drives within our Client’s communities to give residents the opportunity to apply for positions. We also provide Work Placements for ‘NEET’ (Not in Education, Employment or Training) members of the local community as well as workshops to maximise their employability.
We partner with several charities to get under-represented groups back in to work, providing employment opportunities as well mentoring, work experience and workshops on CV writing and job interview skills.
